I started playing nets in 1978 and still play 3 hours a week. I started coaching goalies when I was 17 and over the past 10 years, I have worked with a large number of minor hockey goalies including my daughter for the past 7 years. I only wish that I had the tools that I have today as the improvement scale of goalies that I and all other goalie coaches taught would have had an incredibly sharper trajectory.
Using the Boni puck shooting machine, slide boards, deflection boards and sound techniques, my training provides goalies with the absolute most critical skill needed to be a goalie. Confidence. Without confidence, a goalie cannot grow or acquire additional skills. Goalies who are confident in their abilities and comfortable having pucks fired at them are the ones that will excel and improve at the greatest rate.
